Putting The Ass In Brass is the story of writer David Molyneux pursuing his queer identity, from the hometown brass band he played with to the digital age. It’s a first-person narrative, told on stage with musical interludes that include some really charming moments of northern humour, nostalgia and an interesting viewpoint from a gay man in a world very far from understanding the LGBTQ+ community. Tasha Fish and Joshua Norman offer a delightful sense of energy, playing multiple instruments and characters with skill.

With original music, larger-than-life characters, and a trumpet that won’t be quiet, it’s a story of identity, heritage, industry and the digital revolution—told with humour, heart and unapologetic brass.
